SP (Rural) Kuldeep Singh said that he has got the file of Sidhu Musewala’s case from the police station Dhanaula. The next legal action will be taken in the case registered as per the file.
Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala’s troubles have increased in the controversial song case. A case is registered against him under the Arms Act in Dhanaula police station of Barnala. SP (Rural) Kuldeep Singh has now started the investigation by reopening the file of this case. Singer Sidhu Musewala can be arrested at any time.
A case was registered against Musewala during the Congress rule. But due to political pressure, the matter was kept in cold storage. A few days back, Moosewala had made indecent remarks against the CM in a new song. According to sources, after this, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar had asked to reopen the case. Now Barnala police has started investigation again. In such a situation, the difficulties of Sidhu Musewala can increase.
On 04 May 2020, a case was registered against eight people, including singer Sidhu Musewala, for violating the lockdown at Thana Dhanaula in Barnala and firing with a real sten gun during shooting without permission at the rifle range of village Badwar. After the video went viral, Sidhu Musewala, Karm Singh Lahal, Inder Singh Grewal, Jangsher Singh, son of the then DSP of Sangrur, SHO Balkar Singh, constable Balvir Singh, constable Harvinder Singh and Habaldar Gurjinder Singh were made accused in the case.
The investigation of this case was handed over to the then ACP PBI Rupinder Bhardwaj of Barnala. He had confirmed in his investigation report that Sidhu Musewala had fired with the original stain gun. After this, the rest of the accused named in the case had got their anticipatory bail, but Sidhu did not get his bail on the behest of the Congress government, nor was there any arrest.
The then DSP of Sangrur was also suspended for providing arms to Sidhu Musewala. SP (Rural) Kuldeep Singh said that he has got the file of Sidhu Musewala’s case from the police station Dhanaula. The next legal action will be taken in the case registered as per the file.
