The government is preparing to give responsibility to MLAs and senior party leaders for the post of chairman of boards and corporations of Punjab.
The Punjab government on Thursday dissolved 20 welfare boards in the state. Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur gave information about this decision of the government. He said that soon the state government would appoint new officers of these boards. Speculations are rife that AAP MLAs and leaders will be accommodated in these new boards.
Dr. Baljit Kaur informed that these welfare boards include Kamboj Welfare Board, Baazigar and Tapriwas Welfare Board, Brahmin Welfare Board, Khatri Arora Welfare Board, Dalit Welfare Board, Rai Sikh Welfare Board, Rajput Kalyan Welfare Board, Vimukt Jati Welfare Board, Prajapati Welfare Board, Saini Welfare Board, Ramgarhia Welfare Board, Agarwal Welfare Board, Gurjar Welfare Board, Bairagi Welfare Board, Swarnakar Welfare Board, Sain Welfare Board, Punjab Muslim Welfare Board, Pravasi Welfare Board, Kanojia Welfare Board and Masih Bhali Board with immediate effect has been dissolved from. Soon the appointment for the new boards will be announced by the government.
Provincial and district planning boards have been dissolved
The Punjab government has already dissolved the Provincial Planning Commission, District Planning Board on Monday before dissolving the boards. Now the government is going to constitute the Economic Policy and Planning Board in Punjab in place of the Planning Commission. The government will soon appoint the vice chairman and other members of the board.
Legislators will get the responsibility

After winning 92 seats in the assembly elections, it remains a challenge for Chief Minister Mann to give responsibility to his winning MLAs in the government, through these boards, the path of the Chief Minister will be easy.
