Joint Police Commissioner Ravcharan Singh Brar said that many cases are registered against the accused former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains. He is wanted in many cases.
The problems of Lok Insaaf Party chief and former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains are increasing continuously. The court has declared him a fugitive in the rape case. Now the posters of the accused including former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains have been put up on the board of the police station and other public places.
A poster has been put up outside Simarjit Singh Bains’ house and also outside the office. The police is constantly tightening the noose on Simarjit Singh Bains so that he can be arrested as soon as possible. Joint Commissioner of Police (Rural) Ravcharan Singh Brar says that the search is on for the accused and it is expected that the accused will be arrested soon.
Lok Insaaf Party chief Simarjit Singh Bains, his brother Karmjit Singh Bains, Paramjit Singh Bains alias Pamma, Bains’s PA Pradeep Kumar alias Gogi Sharma, Sukhchain Singh, Baljinder Kaur and Jasbir Kaur alias Bhabhi’s photo were put up by the police station division six, Bus stands, other public places, Bains’s office and outside the house have also been put up.
About a year and a half ago, a case was registered against former MLA Simarjit Singh Bains in police station division six. Sometime back the court had declared all the accused including Simarjit Singh Bains as absconders. The victim woman has been sitting on a dharna for the last one year for the arrest of the accused Bains.
She continued to demand the arrest of Simarjit Singh Bains even during the election campaign. Many times there were clashes and complaints were also made at different places. Simarjit Singh Bains did not get relief.
Former MLA Bains wanted in many cases: JCP

He said that all the work is being done as per the order of the court. All the accused are still absconding, raids have been conducted at many places in search of them but no one has been caught by the police.
Soon the accused will also be arrested. On the question of pressure on the police, JCP said that there is no political pressure on the police. Had there been pressure, the police would not have arrested the accused Bains during his election campaign from the court premises. Evidence is being collected in that case also. The pistol has been sent for examination. Right now the phones are on surveillance. Hopefully the accused will be arrested soon.
