People of Punjab living abroad have expressed their desire to adopt villages, hospitals and schools. Many calls have also been received to Chief Minister Mann for this. So far, NRIs from Canada, Toronto, California, Sydney and Auckland have made phone calls to the Chief Minister and conveyed this desire.

Under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by Bhagwant Mann, NRIs can play an important role in improving education and health facilities in Punjab. We are getting many calls from NRIs that we want to adopt village and school, we want to adopt hospital. This is because people have faith in the AAP government that their money will not be misused. In such a situation, the support of the growing NRI community in Punjab can be a golden opportunity for the party.

Mann had said that Punjabis are spread all over the world. Vancouver is Canada’s only mini Punjab. Toronto, California, Sydney and Auckland all have Punjabis. All the Punjabis living there are ready to give their lives for their motherland. We will ensure their participation in development. This will be done through legal channels as per RBI regulations. This will also make those people happy that they have done something for their village. Mann had said that he also has a budget for the improvement of the schools.

Earlier governments have also taken help
A few years back the Punjab government encouraged the NRI community to help improve the schools in the state, after which donations were also made by many affluent businessmen, who were used to make schools smart with the latest technology Was. Overseas Indians are making significant contributions especially in the field of higher education.
