Remarks on beard-mustache heavy: SGPC complains to Police Commissioner against Bharti Singh, demands immediate arrest

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has given a complaint to the Police Commissioner for action against Bharti Singh. SGPC objected to comedian Bharti Singh’s remarks on beard and mustache with her friend during an event. At the same time demanded registration of FIR in this case.

SGPC member Gurcharan Singh Grewal told that Bharti Singh has deliberately done such an act by targeting Sikhs. Bharti Singh is from Guru Nagari so she knows very well about Sikhs. He has made a deliberate statement about the beard and mustache of the Sikhs. Due to this, he has given a complaint against Bharti Singh to the Police Commissioner on the instructions of SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami. They demanded immediate arrest of Bharti Singh.

Bharti Singh apologizes
In the whole matter, Bharti Singh has released the video saying that she does not speak against any religion. He has only commented on the beard and mustache, which people of every religion have. She said in the video that if still anyone is hurt by my remarks, then she apologizes.

Shiromani Akali Dal has also given a complaint against Bharti Singh to the police. Shiromani Akali Dal’s women’s wing and Shiromani Akali Dal leaders have given a demand letter to the Police Commissioner on Monday. It said that Bharti Singh has intentionally hurt the faith of Sikhs. Demanded registration of FIR in this matter.
