Punjab cabinet: Rs 1500 will be given on direct sowing of paddy, now Rs 1 crore compensation to the families of martyrs

CM Bhagwant Mann tweeted that today an important cabinet meeting was held with the ministers. The decision has been approved to give a grant of Rs 1500 per acre to the farmers who plant directly paddy.

The Punjab cabinet meeting concluded on Wednesday. In the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the government stamped many decisions. In Punjab, farmers will now get Rs 1500 per acre for direct sowing of paddy. The cabinet has approved this decision. Apart from this, the decision has also been given to increase the amount given to the families of martyrs from 50 lakhs to one crore rupees. The decision to appoint retired Patwaris on vacant posts has also been approved in the meeting. It was decided that 1766 retired patwaris would be re-recruited but only spotless patwaris would get the responsibility.
