Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Harpreet Singh said that Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib created Sri Akal Takht and preached to the Sangat. While he preached to read Bani, he also preached to become armed, learn horse riding and fencing.
Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib has asked every Sikh to try to keep modern licensed weapons with him. The Jathedar said that now the situation is becoming like this and such a time is coming that every Sikh should make himself strong by reciting bani, chanting the name, doing bhajan and at the same time stay healthy and stay away from drugs. He congratulated the Sangat on the Guru Gaddi Diwas of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji on Monday and also appealed to keep licensed arms.
He said that Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib created Sri Akal Takht and preached to the Sangat. While he preached to read Bani, he also preached to become armed, learn horse riding and fencing. Times are changing, but the teachings of Guru Sahib are still effective today. Today there is a need especially for Sikh youth, children and girls, following the orders of Guru Sahib, become armed, learn Gatka, fencing and shooting.
In his message to the sangat, the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib said that times are changing, so every Sikh should make efforts to learn the above things as well as keep modern licensed weapons. Stay away from drugs because intoxication is destroying the body. Ruining our families and homes. Intoxication is also spoiling our mind. This is also the teaching of the Patshah of Miri Piri.
