Security has been tightened in the entire city after information about the Amritsar-Delhi train being blown up came to light. Commandos along with additional security forces have been deployed in all sensitive parts of the city and vehicles are being strictly checked.

The ISI had decided to pay Rs 1 lakh per IED to Surmukh Singh for disposing of IEDs sent to India through drones during the last six months. Surmukh obtained two lakh rupees from Pakistan’s intelligence agency for hiding two IEDs.

One blast took place at the Ludhiana Court Complex with an IED, while the second one was to be carried out in an Amritsar-Delhi bound train. For this work, Surmukh was to be given five lakh rupees from Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. This disclosure has come after the interrogation of Surmikh Singh, who was arrested by the STF officers on a production warrant from jail.

Police had recovered three IEDs
STF is interrogating terrorist Surmukh Singh by taking him on police remand. During this, Surmukh admitted that through an app, he had been talking to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. He had earlier hidden the IED sent by ISI to India through drone. But after the blast in the Ludhiana Court Complex, the police came to know about it and three IEDs were recovered.

Due to the arrest of Surmukh Singh after the Ludhiana blasts, Lakhbir Singh Rode of ISI and Sikh International Youth Federation sitting in Pakistan was unable to contact Surmukh. Surmukh was an important link between them. For this reason, preparations were being made to send a mobile phone to Surmukh in jail. During this, Dilbagh Bago and others were arrested with heroin and STF Surmukh Singh was also arrested from jail on production warrant.

Security tightened in Amritsar
During the interrogation of STF, it was found that Surmukh is related to Irfan, an active agent of ISI. Officials are reluctant to reveal it due to security reasons and investigation of the case. Security has been tightened in the entire city after information about the Amritsar-Delhi train being blown up came to light. Commandos along with additional security forces have been deployed in all sensitive parts of the city and vehicles are being strictly checked.
