Army Recruitment: After two years in the army, preparation for recruitment with the new policy, there will be a short service of four years for the level below the officer.

Under the new policy, the tenure of the recruits can be for a total of four years, including six months of training. It is being told that under the new policy, a lump sum package of a few lakh rupees will be given to the recruits while leaving the army.

Due to Corona, preparations have been made to resume the recruitment of the army which has been closed for the last two years. However, this time it is being said about recruitment under a new policy. Under this policy, the posts below the officer will be recruited in the army for short service.

The tenure of the personnel recruited under this policy can be a total of four years including six months of training. It is being told that under the new policy, a lump sum package of a few lakh rupees will be given to the recruits while leaving the army. There are also plans to regularize some jawans after completing four years through re-screening.

According to army sources, from August this year but between December, rallies will be organized for army recruitment in different areas of the country. A letter has been sent to the regional military commands in this regard. Orders have also been given for the deployment of Screening Board and Medical Officers for large scale recruitments. Along with the preparations for the recruitment, the blueprint of the application process has also been made. Candidates must complete the online application process 45 days before every recruitment rally.

Recruitment is closed since the beginning of Corona
Before the onset of the Corona epidemic in March 2020, recruitment rallies were held in the country from April 1 to September 30 and from October 1 to March 31. These rallies were stopped after the pandemic started. There was increasing displeasure among the youth about not joining the army even after the improvement in the condition of Corona and normalcy in the country. The question has been raised in Parliament also. The new Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Pandey, had talked about expediting the recruitment process.
