During an interview, Raghav Chadha, a Rajya Sabha member from Punjab, had said that you cannot sack a government official. You can only move them. If someone is doing a great job, you make him the health secretary or send him to the home department. And if someone is doing wrong, then send them to tribal affairs as punishment posting.
Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha is again embroiled in controversies. A clip of one of his interviews is going viral on social media. In which they are saying that government officials cannot be dismissed, but they can be transferred. Those who are not doing good work can be transferred to departments like tribal affairs as ‘punishment’. Whereas the posting of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Health is the award.
However, when the interviewer said that the statement was politically incorrect to some extent, Chadha said that he was just giving an example and it could be animal husbandry or horticulture rather than tribal affairs. He knew his remarks were politically incorrect but said he was just giving an example. He said please take it in the right spirit.
As soon as the video of this interview went viral, he came under the target of opponents. Former AAP leader and Swaraj India President Yogendra Yadav said he was ashamed that he saw expectations from a young leader like Raghav Chadha.
Abhinav Prakash, National Vice President of Bharatiya Yuva Morcha said that according to Raghav Chadha, tribal affairs are equal to horticulture and animal husbandry? You are full of little fascists and racists. This is a serious threat to democracy.
On the other hand, Delhi BJP leader Vineet Goenka called Raghav Chadha an elitist and said that the Aam Aadmi Party feels that posting in the tribal affairs department is punishment. Arvind Kejriwal and his pseudo-intellectual gang is being exposed. How many more days can you cheat the common man?
