Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Jallianwala Bagh during a virtual rally on Saturday evening. Earlier, the Naujawan Bharat Sabha protested against the PM’s program. However, the police did not allow them to reach Jallianwala Bagh. The members of the assembly said that the representative of any political organization should not go inside Jallianwala Bagh.

During this, members of the Naujawan Bharat Sabha raised slogans against Narendra Modi. On receiving the information, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar, who reached the spot, took him inside Jallianwala Bagh with him and told him that the original form of Jallianwala Bagh has not been tampered with in any way.
Along with this, he also assured that the representative of any political party will not be allowed to enter Jallianwala Bagh. After this, the President and General Secretary of Naujawan Bharat Sabha lifted the dharna and said that we will wait till evening. If any political representative went inside Jallianwala Bagh, they would start protesting again.
Jallianwala Bagh is closed for one and a half year
Jallianwala Bagh, which has been closed for the last one and a half years due to Corona, will be opened for the general public on Saturday. The Punjab government has spent Rs 20 crore on Jallianwala Bagh. The renovation of Jallianwala Bagh was to be completed last year. Due to Covid, this work stopped where it was. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it on August 28 through a virtual program. The historic garden will be opened to the general public and tourists. Earlier, the garden would open from 9 am to 5 pm, but now it will open till late evening. The open well inside Jallianwala Bagh has been renovated. This is the same well in which people jumped to death to escape the bullets of the British army. A corridor has been built around the well. Glass has also been installed for its protection. There is a wall just ahead of the well. Bullet marks are still present on this wall.
