• Shiromani Akali Dal (United) leader and former Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa said that the Punjab government headed by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is preparing to hand over the properties of the state to private hands.

Like the central government, the Punjab government is now preparing to hand over government properties to private hands. For this, the government has identified 53 rest houses and 10 roads, including the Multipurpose Sports Stadium in Mohali. However, opposition to this decision of the government has also started.

Shiromani Akali Dal (United) leader and former Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa said that the Punjab government headed by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is preparing to hand over the properties of the state to private hands.

In an interview, Dhindsa termed the government’s decision as anti-people and said that in the first phase, the state government has announced 53 government relaxations including Guru Nanak Auditorium in Amritsar, Golbagh Sports Complex, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Auditorium, Multipurpose Sports Stadium in Mohali, and some government land in Ludhiana. Along with houses, 10 roads have been marked. He informed that apart from Sports Academy Moga, there are properties in Ferozepur and Ludhiana.

He claimed that the Department of Cultural Affairs has already said that around 12 government properties will be handed over to private hands. The Captain government is handing over the properties of the state government to the private sector under the scheme of the central government. SAD will strongly oppose this.
