However, at four o’clock in the evening, the teachers got a call from the Chief Minister’s residence. Now on August 31, there will be a meeting of teachers with Chief Minister’s OSD Ankit Bansal.
ETT Tet passes teachers agitating for their demands demonstrated at the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday. The teachers put the government in the dock for their demands. On the information of the arrival of the teachers who arrived without any information, the hands of the Chandigarh Police swelled. Hardly the police overpowered the protesters and detained them.
The demand of the teachers was that they should be given an old pay scale and deputation should be canceled. According to eyewitnesses, the ETT Tet Pass Teachers Association, under the leadership of President Kamal Thakur, reached outside the residence of the Chief Minister of Punjab in Chandigarh, where they started raising slogans for their demands and sat on a dharna.
The police who reached the spot tried to convince them a lot but they did not listen. After much effort, the police forcibly took the protesting teachers into custody. At around three o’clock, Chandigarh Police took all the teachers to the rally ground Sector 25 Chandigarh.
Call from Captain’s residence
At around four o’clock in the evening, the teachers got a call from the Chief Minister’s residence. Received a message from the residence that his meeting will be held on August 31 with CM’s OSD Ankit Bansal. In the meeting, after listening to the teachers, an appropriate solution will be tried.
