Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that a state-of-the-art museum to be built in Kapurthala in the name of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar would prove to be a propagator of Babasaheb’s thought in the future generations. After laying the foundation stone of this museum at the local IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (PTU) and distributing appointment letters to the youth on the occasion of the state-level mega job fair, the Chief Minister said that Rs 150 crore was spent on this important project by the state government. and this project will prove to be a fitting tribute to this great leader.
He said that with this memorial Baba Saheb, played an important role in the welfare of the poorest of the poor. It will go a long way in propagating his life and ideology. It will be a separate amalgamation of facts from subjects related to the life, work, and ideology of Dr. Ambedkar.
The scope of this museum will be spread over an area of 25 acres and it will be constructed at a cost of Rs 150 crore. It will be divided into five galleries showing the social and economic impact of Babasaheb’s life, philosophy, work, personal life, and ideology.
Paying a dignified tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, CM Channi described him as a great scholar, expert in legal matters, economist, social reformer, and diplomat. The Chief Minister said that Dr. Ambedkar was a great figure in the history of the world. He belonged to a very poor family but his achievements established him as a world leader.
The Indian Constitution was the result of Dr. Ambedkar’s hard work, dedication and he represented the entire humanity through it. We should learn from the life of Dr. Ambedkar that how high positions can be achieved even in difficult situations. The Punjab Government announced the establishment of Dr. BR Ambedkar Management Institute in Kapurthala. For this, the help of the Indian Institute of Management will be taken. He announced the establishment of the School of Ambedkar Thought and Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar Center for Research in Doaba.
Management college gifted to Kapurthala
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi made several important announcements during the state level 7th Mega Job Fair at IKG Gujral Punjab Technical University (PTU) on Thursday. He announced from the stage to establish a Management College in Kapurthala in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). At the same time, it was announced to lay the foundation stone of Medical College Kapurthala soon.
He announced the establishment of ITI at Sultanpur Lodhi and the establishment of ITI at Bhulatth at a cost of Rs 10 crore. Accepting the request of Kapurthala MLA Rana Gurjit Singh for the development of urban infrastructure, CM Channi announced to give Rs 10 crore to Kapurthala city specifically for development works and also announced Rs 4 crore for removal of high-tension wires of electricity. He said that the recruitment of fourth-grade employees would be regular and not on a contract basis.
