The three-member committee constituted to resolve the dispute of Punjab Congress submitted its report to the Congress High Command on Thursday. The recommendations of the committee in the report have not been disclosed. The committee members described the report as confidential and said that they have completed the work assigned by the high command. The next decision is to be taken by the high command.
A three-member committee meeting was held in Delhi on Thursday morning and after that it was decided to submit the report of the committee to the high command. In this regard, committee member and in-charge of Punjab affairs Harish Rawat said during a conversation with reporters that the report has been submitted. It has been prepared after talking to all the Congress leaders of Punjab on the basis of their opinion.
He said that the committee also interacted with all Congress MLAs, ministers, senior leaders, former and present leaders of Punjab, besides Congress leaders who could not win the last elections and their views have also been included in the report. He told that former Union Minister Ambika Soni could not come to meet the committee. In such a situation, an attempt was made to know his thoughts on the phone. However, he said that he has sent his views directly to party president Sonia Gandhi.

Harish Rawat said that there are no major differences between the leaders, but there are minor problems, which will be resolved. Committee member JP Aggarwal said that the report is confidential and has been prepared on the basis of the opinion of all the leaders. Regarding the controversy in Punjab Congress, Agarwal said that there are no big issues and there is no big factionalism either.
When asked about the appointment of Deputy CM in Punjab, Agarwal said that the decision in this regard has to be taken by the high command. Regarding Navjot Singh Sidhu, Agarwal said that whatever Sidhu wants, he has put his point before the committee. Committee member Mallikarjun Kharge said that the report has been prepared on the basis of the work assigned to the committee by the high command and whatever the Punjab Congress leaders told the committee.
Responding to questions about the committee meeting held on Thursday and the report, said that the committee meeting discussed strengthening Punjab Congress. He said that the committee has completed and given the work given to the committee by the high command. Now the final decision has to be taken by the party high command.
