DC Office Employees Union Punjab has threatened to go on strike again. A virtual meeting of DC Office Employees Union Punjab was held on Tuesday. After the meeting, it has been decided that if their demands are not met by September 21, then on September 22 and 23, a strike will be held in the entire state.

On September 24, all the employees will take a collective leave and participate in the state-level rally to be held in Mohali. The strategy for the next struggle will be revealed in this rally. There is a possibility that after this rally a decision to boycott election duty can be taken. Due to this strike of employees, the work of the SDM office including the DC office will come to a complete halt.

District head Vicky Juneja told that on September 8, he had a meeting with Suresh Kumar, Principal Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister. In this, their demands were not heard seriously nor the processing report was prepared. This angers the employees. At the district level, the government is not taking seriously the demands like lack of employees, long promotion, and pay commission reports. On Tuesday morning, a virtual meeting was held with all the district heads of the DC Office, Employees Union, Punjab, in which it was decided that if the government did not accept their demands by September 21, then on September 22 and 23, the employees across the state would go on strike.
