In Punjab, the situation is not improving due to black fungus in the midst of corona infection. On Thursday, three more patients succumbed to a black fungus in Punjab. So far 49 people have died due to this serious disease in the state. So far, 343 cases of black fungus have been reported in the state, out of which 46 cases are being reported related to other states.
A maximum number of 58 cases have been reported in Ludhiana so far. At present, 276 patients suffering from black fungus are being treated in private hospitals and 67 in government hospitals. In Punjab, out of 343 patients suffering from this disease, 297 are related to Punjab, another 46 patients are said to be related to other states.
91 died due to corona infection, 2206 new infected found
On Thursday, 91 deaths occurred due to corona infection in Punjab. 7 in Amritsar, 2 in Barnala, 13 in Bathinda, 3 in Faridkot, 1 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 6 in Fazilka, 2 in Firozpur, 3 in Gurdaspur, 3 in Hoshiarpur, 5 in Jalandhar, 2 in Kapurthala, 6 in Ludhiana, Mansa 6 patients died in Moga, 1 in Mohali, 5 in Muktsar, 1 in Pathankot, 10 in Patiala, 3 in Ropar, 4 in Sangrur, 1 in SBS Nagar, 1 in Tarn Taran. 2206 new cases of infection have been reported in the state.
Two new black fungus cases confirmed in Rajindra
Two new black fungus cases were reported on Thursday at the Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. The total number of black fungus in the district has increased to 44. So far eight have died in Rajindra and one in a private hospital.
