• The Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested a Pakistani infiltrator in Punjab’s Ferozepur district. After interrogation, the Pakistani national was handed over to the Punjab Police. For the second time in a week, an infiltration incident has come to light in Firozpur.

The Border Security Force (BSF) arrested a Pakistani national who was infiltrating from near the India-Pakistan International Hussainiwala border. After thorough interrogation, the BSF and intelligence agencies have handed over the said intruder to the police station Sadar. On the other hand, the Sadar police station has started the further investigation by registering a case against the Pakistani citizen under various sections on Monday.

Company Commander of BSF Battalion-136, Bansi Lal, said in a complaint to the police that Pak citizen Mohammad Tariq son of Mohammad resident of village Khawan, Tehsil Kamalian district Toba Tek Singh (Pakistan) was infiltrating into the Indian border. Despite the BSF’s warning, he reached the border fence.

Entering the Indian border from the side of Pillar No-192/2/3 S on the Tariq outskirts, the BOP barrier had reached Hussainiwala. BSF jawans have overpowered Tariq and handed him over to the police station Sadar after thorough interrogation. Nothing was found from Tariq during the search.

On the other hand, according to ASI Karnail Singh, who is investigating the said case, a case has been registered against Pakistani national Mohammad Tariq. Tariq may be sent to the Amritsar Joint Interrogation Center for further inquiry.

Pak smuggler was injured in BSF firing
On Wednesday night i.e. on September 2, a Pakistani smuggler was injured in BSF firing near the BSF post adjacent to the Hussainiwala border and two smugglers managed to escape. BSF also found two heroin packets from the spot.

In Firozpur, there was some movement on the side of Pakistan across the fence near BSF outpost Satpal, adjacent to the Indo-Pak Hussainiwala border. After this, the BSF jawans opened fire. One Pakistani smuggler was injured by a BSF bullet while two smugglers managed to escape. The BSF took the injured smuggler into custody and admitted him to the civil hospital.
