Former DSP Balwinder Singh Sekhon, who has leveled many allegations against Punjab minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, has finally been sacked by the Punjab government. He was dismissed from his job on 31 August. Interestingly, DSP Sekhon retired on the same day.
Former DSP Balwinder Singh Sekhon confirmed the dismissal and said that now he has no option but to approach the High Court but he has little hope of justice from the court, yet will have to approach the court once.
It is noteworthy that former DSP Balwinder Singh was posted in Sekhon Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. When Navjot Singh Sidhu was on the post of civic minister. At that time Sekhon was given the responsibility of investigating the Grand Manor Home being built on Sua Road in Ludhiana. He had revealed in this investigation that there was rigging on a large scale. In this matter, the dispute first started between Minister Ashu and DSP Sekhon.

He was suspended after an inquiry into the dispute with the minister. Since then he was under suspension. After this, the former DSP made many serious allegations against Minister Ashu. Even the layers of an old case registered against him in 1992 started to unravel. Eventually, the Punjab government dismissed him from his job on 31 August.
Former DSP Balwinder Singh said that he will continue the struggle he has started. He is taking legal opinion against the dismissal and will soon approach the court but he does not expect that the court will also be able to deliver justice. On the question of joining politics, Sekhon said that till now there is no hope because my fight is against this system. All these political parties are the same, can’t say anything further.
