Navjot Singh Sidhu met Afghan students in Chandigarh on Friday to know their problems. During this, Sidhu assured them of resolving the problems soon. Actually, Afghan students organized a press conference at the People’s Convention Center located in Sector 36. Navjot Singh Sidhu had come to attend this.
Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu arrived on Friday to meet the workers of the Afghan Students Unity Group in Chandigarh. He knew the problems of the students. Assured that he is with the Afghan students in every sorrow, pain. He said that Afghan students should inform the problems in writing, we will get those problems resolved.
A press conference was organized on behalf of the Afghan students at the People’s Convention Center in Sector 36. Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu met the students after the press conference. He was accompanied by working president Kuljit Singh Nagra. The students conveyed that they did not trust the Taliban. Many of his student mates are trapped there, they should be helped to rescue them. Apart from this, the students living here on rent do not have money. Many problems are coming. These officials said that efforts would be made to get their problems resolved at the earliest.
During the press conference Pramod Sharma, convener of Yuva Satta Sanstha said that Afghanistan has a good friendship with India. So the students will not be allowed to suffer. Surinder Kumar Kansal of Yuvsatta gave 21 dry ration kits and 21 thousand rupees to Afghan students for help.
Avtar Singh Paul of People’s Convention Center, Maulvi Mohammad Imran Siddiqui, President of Mujaddi Education Society Manimajra said that Chandigarh and Punjab government should solve the problems of Afghan students.
