The agitation for the assembly elections in Punjab has started intensifying. Shiromani Akali Dal has released the list of 64 candidates on Monday. SAD chief Sukhbir Badal will contest from Jalalabad assembly seat in Ferozepur. The special thing is that this time the strategy of SAD is being made by Sunil Kanugolu, who was an aide of Prashant Kishor.
Shiromani Akali Dal has entered the electoral model for the 2022 assembly elections in Punjab. SAD chief Sukhbir Badal on Monday released the first list of 64 party candidates. In this list, special focus has been given to the Malwa region. The names of 44 candidates are included from this constituency, 11 from Majha and nine from Doaba.
SAD spokesperson Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema has released the first list of party candidates. This election battle of 2022 is no less than a litmus test for SAD chief Sukhbir Badal. Sukhbir Badal also has a big challenge to save the legacy of his father, former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. Now Parkash Singh Badal has become old and it is believed that all the weight of this election is going to rest on Sukhbir’s shoulders. There is no doubt that Parkash Singh Badal is no less than a banyan in the politics of Punjab.
Sukhbir Badal will contest Jalalabad elections
In the Rann of 2022, Sukhbir Badal will contest from Jalalabad. He made this announcement during a rally in Jalalabad on March 14. This time SAD is contesting the elections in alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party. Out of 117 seats, 20 have been given to BSP.
Kanugolu is making an election strategy for SAD
This time, Sunil Kanugolu, who was an aide of Prashant Kishor, is making the election strategy of SAD. Kanugolu’s team is working in all the constituencies of Punjab these days. Accordingly, SAD is being promoted across the state.
