• Two people have died in a shooting at a hotel in Amritsar, Punjab. There is another injured. Shocked by the sound of bullets, people started running here and there in the hotel after saving their lives. It is being told that a party was going on in the hotel among some friends. In some minor dispute, shots were fired and two people lost their lives. Police have so far arrested five people in this case.

Two people were killed in a gunfight between friends at a hotel in Ghala Mala Chowk on Majitha Road, Amritsar. While one person got injured. The incident happened on Wednesday. At that time, the party was going on in the hotel, in which after an argument over some minor dispute, two or three pistol-wielding friends first fired in the air and then started firing direct shots. The police have arrested five persons and seized the DVR of the hotel for the CCTV footage.

According to the information, 15-20 friends were partying among themselves on Wednesday in the hall of JK Classic Hotel located at Ghala Mala Chowk. During this, an argument started between them on some issue. Other friends present in the party tried to convince him but two or three pistol-wielding friends first fired in the air and then started firing direct shots.

On hearing the sound of gunshots, a stampede broke out in the hotel and people started running here and there to save their lives. In this firing, one bullet hit Manish Sharma resident of Tarn Taran Road, he immediately fell on the ground, who was taken to KD Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Two of Manish’s accomplices were also injured in the firing, who were taken to KD Hospital for treatment. Where the injured partner Vikramjit Singh also died during treatment.

SCP Sarabjit Singh Bajwa said that one friend died on the spot due to bullets fired during the party at the hotel, while the other died at KD Hospital on Majitha Road. The third injured friend is also admitted to the same hospital. On getting information about the incident, the police took both the bodies into custody. The DVR has been seized to capture the CCTV footage inside the hotel. He is being investigated. Five accused have been arrested in connection with the incident.
