The state government has given the additional charge of the post of DGP to 1988 batch IPS officer Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota after Director General of Police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta went on leave. Sahota is currently posted as Special DGP in Punjab Armed Battalion Jalandhar.
