Senior advocate Rajwinder Singh Bains will now represent the Punjab government in four cases including sacrilege. The Punjab Government has appointed him as a Special Public Prosecutor. Former DGP of Punjab Sumedh Singh Saini, Paramraj Singh Umranangal are also accused in these cases.
The Punjab Government has appointed Senior Advocate Rajwinder Singh Bains as Special Public Prosecutor for better advocacy of the four FIRs registered at Bajakhana and Kotkapura in the sacrilege case which is pending in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. On Friday, Punjab Home Secretary Anurag Verma also issued an order in this regard.
It is noteworthy that in the above four cases, Sumedh Singh Saini, Paramraj Umranangal, Charanjit Sharma, and Gurdeep Singh are also accused and senior advocate APS Deol has been appearing for them. Now that APS Deol has been appointed as the Advocate General of Punjab, it is certain that he will not be able to appear in these cases.
