Minority Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs, and non-Kashmiri Hindus are the target of terrorists in the Valley.
After the Taliban’s occupation of Afghanistan, conspiracies to target the minority Hindu community in Kashmir have intensified at the behest of Pakistan. Especially since the month of September, there are attacks on people who had not migrated from the Valley even during the peak of militancy. Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs, and non-Kashmiri Hindus are being selectively targeted. Amidst the government’s efforts to return home to Kashmiri Pandits, Pakistan has hatched a conspiracy to create an atmosphere of panic in the Valley. A similar situation was created in the nineties as well, after which Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave the valley. The special thing is that most of the killings are happening in Srinagar itself, which is a matter of concern for the security agencies.
In fact, Pakistan has been furious at the efforts of Kashmiri Pandits to return to the Valley and to remove the occupation from their properties. He has again hatched a conspiracy to create a situation like 1990. Attacks on Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs, and non-Kashmiri people and nefarious attempts to burn temples are part of this chain. Under this, Lashkar-e-Taiba has been entrusted with the responsibility of attacking minorities and creating an atmosphere of panic.
Pakistan and it’s intelligence agency ISI are concerned that their three-decade-long conspiracy to destabilize Kashmir will go in vain if the government’s effort to resettle Kashmiri Hindus back in the Valley succeeds. After the abrogation of Article 370, the government’s rejection of the claim that peace will be established in the entire valley is also part of the conspiracy. Terrorist organizations are also being fueled from across the border to attract the attention of the international community.
Sikhs did not migrate from the Valley even during the times of terrorism. They stood there. More than a hundred Kashmiri Pandits also stayed in Srinagar as well as in different areas of Kashmir. Now again the attacks are being carried out in an attempt to destroy Kashmiriyat and mutual harmony and brotherhood.
Killed five since September, killing nine minorities this year
Nine minorities were killed in the Valley this year. First of all, on January 1 in Srinagar, Swarnakar Satpal Nischal was targeted by terrorists. After this, Akash Mehra, the owner of the famous Krishna Dhaba in the Dalgate area, was shot by the terrorists on February 17 after entering the Dhaba. On June 2, Kashmiri Pandit BJP leader Rakesh Pandita was killed by terrorists in Trial. A laborer from Bihar was targeted in Kulgam in September.
On September 17, terrorists killed a Kashmiri Pandit Bantu Sharma of Ku Lagaam, who was working as a follower in the police. This family was living in Kashmir for the last 30 years. On October 5, Kashmiri Pandit Makhan Lal Bindru, a renowned drug dealer, was killed by terrorists after entering a shop in the Lal Bazar area of Srinagar.
On the same day, Golgappa seller Virendra Paswan, a resident of Bhagalpur in Bihar also became a victim of the terrorists’ bullets. A day after the incident, on October 7, a female Sikh principal and a Hindu teacher were killed by terrorists in a school in Srinagar. Let us inform that the three businessmen Makhan Lal Bindru, Satpal Nischal, and Akash Mehra had not left the valley even after the peak of terrorism in the nineties. The three establishments Bindru Mediket, Nischal Jewelers, and Krishna Dhaba are quite popular among the people.
ISI changed strategy, trying to shock the return of the displaced: SP Vaid
Dr. SP Vaid, former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, says that in 1990 also an attempt was made to create a similar situation. ISI has changed its strategy. Islamic terror is on the agenda. Like France, after the capture of the Taliban, India also needs to make a policy on bigotry and terror so that it can be known that the seeds of bigotry cannot be sown in the people under the guise of education. Now the full focus of ISI and the Pakistan Army will be on Kashmir.
Pakistan will try to deliver the weapons left by America to terrorist organizations. However, now the situation is not on the International Border and LoC as before. Said that this is a conspiracy to create an atmosphere of fear as well as an attempt to falsify the claim of the Government of India after the abrogation of 370. The aim is also to give a blow to the efforts to return the displaced.
Demolition of Bharg Shikha temple in Mattan also part of a conspiracy
Even when terrorism was at its peak, Kashmiri Pandits did not leave their homes in Mattan of Anantnag. Here people of both the communities were living together under the example of Kashmiriyat. Worship did stop for a few days in the Sun temple, but then everything went back to normal. The Pandit community was never harmed here. Kashmiri Pandits living across the country kept coming to Mattan and offering prayers.
Now, on October 2, the Kashmiri Pandit community has been targeted by vandalism and arson directly in the temple of Kul Devi, Bhargshikha. A conspiracy has been hatched to create an atmosphere of fear in them so that they do not form the idea of returning to the Valley. Mattan is a major center of faith of Kashmiri Pandits. Local Kashmiri Pandits say that a conspiracy is being hatched to ruin the mutual brotherhood again. One needs to be careful with such people.
